CAN YOU HELP?

With so much going on, Samuel's needs are changing. Over the course of the next year, we will be making some big changes to our fundraising and we would be grateful if you could continue to support us and help us give Samuel the quality of life he deserves. It is becoming increasingly difficult to ask companies for help as due to the law, we cannot make 4 Steps For Samuel a registered charity.

PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BECOME A REGULAR SPONSOR OR IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO COULD HELP US ACHIEVE OUR GOALS.

(For more information, navigate to the 'How Can You Help?' page using the new menu!)

This is the story of Samuel Tyler Kane Boakes - the boy with a big heart and an even bigger smile!

Samuel has been through so much in his life but still carries on smiling. He is the bravest person I have ever met and he makes me feel like the proudest Mum on the planet as he tackles the trials and tribulations of being a child with an undiagnosed but debilitating condition. He cannot walk or talk and his understanding of the world around him is very limited. He suffers with a severe neuro-developmental and muscular disorder and has now had to endure 15 operations

What is 4  Steps For  Samuel   ?

4 Steps For Samuel is a project to raise funds and gain support to give Samuel a better quality of life and at the same time, to build awareness of the plight of families with undiagnosed children and the uncertain future that they live with every day. Click on the tabs to find out more about each step

Samuel has struggled with his life right from the very start and now, at  17 years old, it is taking it's toll. Read Samuel's story and find out how you can help by clicking on the tabs at the top of the page.

1. To continue raising enough funds to send Samuel to Brainwave twice a year. He has now been going for 14 years and has made incredible progress. To learn all about Brainwave, go to the Charities page.

2. As Samuel is going to college, his bedroom adaptations will no longer be funded by the local authority. We are therefore looking at a total cost of around £25,000 to make it a safe and comfortable living space for a growing man.

3. Due to lack of funds, we have so far been unable to purchase the motor that can attach to Samuel’s chair to make it easier to navigate hills etc.

4. It is still a dream to be able to return to Florida to visit our old friends at Give Kids The World Village and take Samuel back to the Disney parks where he had the time of his life over 7 years ago!
